In terms of accommodation, there are many that one could choose from. Typically, there are many resorts available in Sabah, which normally includes facilities like island trips, boat rides and diving packages. This depends largely on the tourist and what they seek. From Kota Kinabalu, one could find the most business hotels. On top of that, there are many sea side resorts as well. for instance the Sutera Harbour Resort and Spa has 2 sides of the resort located on the golf course and is great place within the city where one could take boat rides to nearby islands for a short visit. These services are provided by the Hotel management themselves as value added services to their guests. Room rates start from RM500 per night, and although a bit costly, it is offers a great environment for the relaxing seeking tourist. The Berjaya Palace Hotel is located in within the city center. The 3 star hotels houses more than 160 rooms that start from RM250 per night. Beverly hotel is another 200 room hotel which starts from around the same price. A more expensive alternative would be at the Shangri-La Hotel with rooms starting from RM350 per night. The Jesselton Hotel is a 4 star hotel with room ranging from RM240 to RM350 per night. the Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu is another alternative while the Manukan Island Lodges are located in Manukan Island where the lodges in chalet style goes from RM500 per night. Cheaper hotels are available at the Kinabalu Daya Hotel, which starts from RM180 per night. One could also check in to the Nexus Karambunai Resort. This is an excellently decorated resort housed within one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. With rates going from RM380 per night, the 5 star resort has a great relaxing beach where one can take a slow walk among the wavy sea and enjoy its sea breeze among some very spectacular sky line of clouds. Other hotels in Kota Kinabalu include Promenade Hotel, Tang, Dynasty Hotel and The Palace Hotel. In Sandakan, there is Sanbay Hotel with rooms from RM180 per night, Hotel Sandakan offers rooms at their 4 star premises from around the same price as well. Sabah Hotel starts from RM150 per night while Sepilok Nature Resort starts from RM160 per night. |
