Genting Highlands, a mountain peak engulfed inside the Titiwangsa Mountains along the border of Pahang and Selangor houses one of the main attractions in terms of highland resorts in the country. Recent years have witnessed rapid developments in around the highlands including newly paved expressways leading up to the resort city. Genting Highlands is accessible by land from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur through a one hour’s drive. Statistics show that in 2006 alone, the home to a 100 million year old forest welcomed 18.4 million visitors.
The “City of Entertainment” is home to various amusement parks for all the family including a daily operational and frequented casino. Accommodation are abundant that includes Genting Hotel, Highlands Hotel, Resort Hotel, Theme Park Hotel, Awana Genting Hotel and First World Hotel, the largest hotel in the world.
