Kelantan can be reached via many ways. From land one can com by through the East-West Highway linking from Gerik in Perak to Kelantan by its Jeli town. From the south, one can come through via Johor Bahru that cuts through Terengganu using the East Coast Main Road. This would also lead to Perhentian Island. From the north, one can come through the Southern Thai province of Narathiwat through to Rantau Panjang which uses the Sungai Golok Immigration Point.

Alternatively, one could take the long distance bus services that services the route to the state from all major towns around the Peninsular. The capital of Kuala Lumpur and Penang all come through to Kota Bahru and stops at the Kota Bahru Bus Terminal. There are daily buses from Kuala Lipis in Pahang that comes to Gua Musang while the Taman Negara National Park is also connected.

Otherwise, one can also use the train services that come to the state using the national rail service under Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTMB). The ‘Jungle Railway’ as it is known service the East Coast Railway route and have stops at most major towns like Tumpat, Wakaf Bahru, Gua Musang and Pasir Mas. The Ekspres Timuran comes all the way from the south from Singarpore while Lambaian Timur services the route that cuts through the jungles, allowing great views and experience.

The Sultan Ismail Petra Airport services the air route for the state. Located at Pengkalan Chepa, national carrier Malaysia Airlines provide domestic flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Budget airline Air Asia also have flights through and from Kuala Lumpur while FireFly ferry people to and from Penang. Sea is also one of the transport means to get to the state. From Ban Taba in the Narathiwhat province in South Thailand one can take passenger boats and vehicular ferries that stops at the Pengkalan Kubur jetty utilising the Golok River to get across. There are also boats the service the Bukit Bunga Jetty around Jeli with Buketa in Narathiwat. In the state, one can get around using taxis or buses provided for by Syarikat Kenderaan Melayu Kelantan (SKMK) while one can take Transnasional buses that connects nearby towns.
