Getting to Negeri Sembilan is possible using various ways. It does not have its own airport although probably because the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is located very nearby. Therefore one is able to get to nearby towns through the Sepang airport. The KLIA serves international flights to and from the country while the LCCT – Low Cost Carrier Terminal ferry users to and from the capital through its domestic routes. From the airport, one can take taxis and buses that connects one to the towns in around the state. Car rental are also available from here. To get to Negeri Sembilan by road, one would have to take the North South Expressway otherwise known as the Seremban Highway when coming from Kuala Lumpur. From the south, the same highway will direct the visitor to Seremban from other states like Johor Bahru, Malacca and Kluang. As it is located about 60 kilometers from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, it would take about one hour drive to get here from the capital. It is also possible to reach here through the extensive railway network that connects practically every state in the Peninsular. The Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) stops by at most of the towns and cities like Batang Bnar, Tiroi, Labu and Nilai. It comes to and from Kuala Lumpur via the KL Sentral terminal. The KTM Komuter, a long haul light transit railway too comes and goes from the KL Sentral on short intervals. From inside the state, one can take long distance buses to other parts of the states through its Terminal One Bus Station to destinations like Kuala Kelawang, Kuala Pilah, Nilai, Port Dickson and Tampin. The buses that come here from Kuala Lumpur would normally depart from the Puduraya Bus Terminal and the Putra Bus Terminal. They are normally part of the longer route that connects to southern metropolitan cities like Johor Bahru. Taxis and buses are available in around the capital of Seremban. Although taxis are the best way to go around town, buses would normally be more encouraged for those who are more adventurous and would like to explore the city a bit more. |
